ABOUT THE PAINTING

MariOse’s painting: “I SAW” was originally a painting she made in 2014. After hours of work with it she put it away and didn’t bring it back to the scathing table before years later. In 2022 she started working with it again and finished it. Mari says: “For me it represents everything the eye can’t see even when it’s right in front of us. The eye in this painting is trying to look at what’s behind the eye - what’s inside the mind. The colors represents everything that is tempting us - money, things, fun - it represents all those things we THINK will make us happy. Healing is not about the outer world, but about what’s going on in the inner world.”
