ABOUT THE PAINTING

MariOse chose the name “Heaviness Of The Clown” to describe what it can mean to constantly be in a derailing state of mind. “Laughter and joy is in focus while the pain and sorrow is hidden. This painting is to describe that happiness is indeed important, but so is the sorrow. The delight for life has its place in the world as much as the agony. In the same way as I have a place in this world as much as you do,” she says. Her painting was created while writing sessions was in order. Mari says; “When I write, I sometimes like to have a paper or canvas to draw and paint on at the same time. This one is illustrated with colors, ideas and forms developed by the words I’ve had in my mind. Like a puzzle. Piece after piece finds it’s place.” The boldness of the colors are meant to be a form of distraction. The colors pops and blend strongly together. The forms  are fluent and flowing - not sharp at all - to present the adaption skill we can form while presenting ourselves as the “clown”.
